The Emirates Foundation is pleased to announce the third round of the Emirates Award for Arabian Gulf Youth for 2017, a window of opportunity to find better ways of addressing social challenges.
Launched under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Abdullah Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Minister of Foreign Affairs & International Cooperation and Chairman of Emirates Foundation, Emirates Award for the Arabian Gulf aims to foster a culture of entrepreneurship, in line with the National Entrepreneurship Strategic Plan and the Foundation’s socially driven mission by encouraging youth to develop innovative solutions and social enterprises that address society’s most pressing challenges. The award is open to Gulf nationals residing in the UAE, between the ages of 18 and 35, and are attracted to the idea of using profit for social good.

If you are an Arabian Gulf national, between the ages of 18 and 35, and you are attracted to the idea of using profit for social good, the Emirates Award for Arabian Gulf Youth is your golden ticket to compete for a chance to get your social enterprise idea incubated in the United Arab Emirates.

Through this platform, we are connecting you and your ideas with people, and resources to help you nurture the ‘social innovator’ in you. We’ll teach you how to blend your financial return with social impact; providing you with opportunities not just to share your thoughts but also to gain new skills, learn from successful social entrepreneurs and network with leading philanthropists from across the region.

With your ideas, we build a pipeline of impactful social ventures that will create change in the future. Our vision is to build a ladder up which the most ambitious and promising social ventures can climb from start up to investment, which is why we launched the EAAGY in 2014 to find and fund creative and inspiring ideas and help them come to life.
All ideas and projects that meet the criteria will be considered. To check if your idea is eligible for the award, you should be able to answer the following key questions:
  • 17th September: Announcement of the 15 shortlisted ideas
  • 7 - 12 October Social Entrepreneurship Boot Camp in Abu Dhabi, UAE.
Kafa’at program is designed to empower youth with an enabling environment to deliver sustainable social impact for their communities and countries. With the aim of building capabilities & inspiring innovation of aspiring and current social entrepreneurs.
